Australian Conservation Foundation: Together We Can

‘Together We Can’ is a climate movement for everyone.

As part of Together We Can, Australian Conservation Foundation is featuring the individual voices of Australians everywhere sharing their story about why they want to see greater action on the climate crisis, and why now is the time to act.

Together We Can is about having those who want to see climate solutions for Australia have their voices elevated. The campaign aims to tell strong stories about climate action now, people who care and the solutions.

ACF approached us to capture environmental portraits, cutaway footage and interviews on two separate shoots with far north Queensland based spokespeople.

The work:

  • Field production

  • Cinematography - supply of raw footage including interview and b-roll

  • Environmental portraits of each spokesperson

Grant Howard:
Coal Miner and Climate Activist

Grant is a coal miner who has been working in the industry for 40 years. He believes that mining coal is damaging our climate, and has wanted stronger leadership on our environment. He wants a zero carbon future. But he also wants to see a just transition for the industry so jobs are not affected long-term for mine workers. The solution involves mining communities as part of the conversation.

Billie Tristram:
Student and Climate Activist

Billie is a year 10 student who wants to travel and wants to swim on the coral reefs like her Dad did. Billie believes that climate action is understanding that no matter if you're nine years old or 60 years old, you can always make a difference.
